Another dog pattern today to add to the collection – an amigurumi German Shepherd Dog. If you haven’t already seen the Labrador and Dalmatian patterns go and check them out. This one’s a little different to the previous two with its pointy ears and long snout but, its just as easy to make.
I’ve used two colours for this German Shepherd, the light brown is Stylecraft special DK (camel 1420) and the black is James C Brett Top Value DK (8430). However, as German Shepherds can have a few different colours and marking patterns you can adapt this to suit yourself. The plastic eyes I’ve used are The Craft Factory Toy Eyes Solid Black – 9mm but if you prefer not to use these you can embroider some eyes on using black yarn.
There will be yet another crochet dog pattern coming in a few days so if you like making this one make sure to take a look at the new one when it’s published (you can subscribe to the newsletter at the bottom of this page to get updates)

Assembly
For a step-by-step photo guide to assembling your amigurumi German Shepherd, check out the full pattern HERE.
Use a yarn needle to sew all the parts together. I would recommend starting by adding the nose, eyes and ears to the head. Then sew the legs, head and tail onto the body.
