If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen my seven dogs in seven days challenge where I crocheted a different dog every day for a week. Whilst most of the dogs I crocheted were patterns I had previously written such as the Basset Hound or the Dalmatian I also took suggestions from followers as to which breeds they wanted to see. I received a few different answers but the two I picked were Greyhound and Husky. This meant I had to come up with a brand new design for each of these in a day!

For the Greyhound I didn’t have too many problems and the original one I made during the challenge ended up being the Greyhound amigurumi pattern I released the following week. However, I wasn’t happy with the husky I made during the challenge – it actually looked more like a collie! But, I have been working on the Husky amigurumi crochet pattern for a few weeks now and I’m very happy with how they’ve turned out.
To make your Husky amigurumi you’re going to require DK weight yarn in two different colours – white and another colour of your choice. I have used Stylecraft Special DK but you can use any brand of yarn. You’ll also need a 3mm hook, stuffing and a yarn needle. The eyes I’ve used are The Craft Factory Toy Eyes Solid Black – 9mm but if you don’t want to use plastic eyes you can embroider on some eyes with black yarn.

Assembly
For a step-by-step photo guide to assembling your amigurumi Husky, check out the full pattern HERE.
To assemble your amigurumi husky, begin by sewing the legs to the 6th round of the body. Then add the ears, eyes and nose to the head and sew on the stripe between the eyes. Finally, attach the head and tail to the body and weave in any loose ends.
