What qualities do you look for in pattern testers?

I look for testers who give good, constructive feedback that helps me improve my patterns. Clear photos of the finished project are important too, nothing professional, just something well lit that shows off your work. I also need testers who communicate openly and promptly, and who aren’t afraid to ask questions. Finally, reliability matters to me, meeting deadlines keeps everything on track, but if life gets in the way, just keep me in the loop and we’ll work it out together. 

How often will I receive testing opportunities?

Testing opportunities vary depending on the release schedule for new patterns. As a tester, you can expect to receive testing invitations periodically. Be sure to keep an eye on your email inbox for updates!

Do I need to have prior pattern testing experience?

Not at all! I welcome crocheters of all skill levels to apply as pattern testers. What’s most important is your enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to provide valuable feedback during the testing process.

What happens after I sign up to be a pattern tester?

Once you’ve submitted your application, I’ll review your information and keep it on file for future testing opportunities. When a new pattern is ready for testing, I’ll reach out via email with all the details, including the pattern requirements, timeline, and instructions for providing feedback.

Can I test patterns using different yarn or colors?

Absolutely! I encourage testers to get creative and experiment with different yarns and colors. Seeing the pattern worked up in a variety of combinations helps other crafters imagine what it could look like in their own stash.
