This week’s free crochet pattern was going to be a red panda but, I ran out of red yarn half way through making it so instead I made a raccoon! Thankfully these two animals look very similar so I didn’t have to make too many changes to the pattern to make a raccoon. Of course, I hope to get the red panda pattern uploaded in a few weeks once I order more yarn as well.

This little amigurumi raccoon sits at about 4 inches once complete. It is made using a dk weight yarn (you’ll need grey, black and white) and a 3.5mm hook. I’ve used James C Brett Top Value DK to make my raccoon but you can use any brand which suits you. For the eyes, I’ve used The Craft Factory Toy Eyes Solid Black – 9mm, these plastic eyes look great but if you prefer you can embroider on the eyes with some white or grey yarn.
If you would like an ad-free, printable version of this pattern you can buy the PDF in our Shop or on Ravelry
