Baby blankets are the ideal crochet project – all the fun of a full size blanket but made in half the time! They also tend to be a little more bright and fun than full sized blankets – in this list of my favourite crochet baby blanket patterns you’ll find sharks, foxes and hot air balloons.  As always I’ve tried to include patterns suitable for all crochet skill levels so there is something for everyone, whether you’re making a baby blanket for your own little one or as a baby shower gift!

In the coming months I will be releasing my first ever baby blanket crochet pattern! I’ve just ordered some yarns to try out and I’m eagerly awaiting their arrival. The pattern is inspired by my Big Mountains Blanket, it will be a smaller, simpler version of this blanket with a brand new colour palette. I will be removing the trees from the foreground (these are the trickiest part of the pattern) to make it more beginner friendly!
